BROADMEAD GIG  - 19th December 2009

Katie was invited to open the final's of Bristol's School Choir competition by singing 4 songs, including a new track which is a cover of 'Painted it red' by Daniel Meriweather. Afterwards Katie personally singed CD's of her first EP 'Craving the light' for fans of all ages. A big thank you to Brooke Nolan from Broadmead for all her help. (link for photos)

RECORD COMPANY INTEREST  - 10th December 2009

Katie has got VVR2 records interested in talking, so she and her songwriting partner, Jason Flinter, went to Maidstone Studios to meet Dave D'Mello and Geoff Miles for a lengthy 5 hour chat!! - all we can say is 'watch this space'

FIRST BAND AUDITIONS  - 31st October 2009

Most of the musicians found the FIREBIRD studios at Brislington and Katie now has 2 guitarists and a drummer:  Adam Chetland on LEAD, Jon Fifield on Rhythm and Sam Evans on drums. Still looking for a keyboard player and a backing vocalist with some classical experience!

KATIE'S FIRST GIG - 19th September 2009

OMG Katie has announced her first gig just 2 days after reaching the semi-finals of the UK song writing contest. She will be performing 3 of her new songs at 'Bristol's next top model awards' at the Brunel Passenger Shed thanks to local film company, 'Red Button Media', for suggesting using her track 'Craving the light' for the interval. Carolyn Skinner, events manager of Bristol News and Media, then suggested getting Katie to perform live at the venue. Going to be great!

SEMI FINALIST UKSC - 11th September 2009

2 of Katie's songs 'Craving the light' and 'Make me invisible' were awarded semi-finalist certificates in the UK Song writing competition this week. For more info go to UKSC or UKSC-MYSPACE

WEBSITE LAUNCH - 7th September 2009

Katie has been experimenting, writing and recording the new 'Rock Popera" sound since November 2008 and has been working to get the new website up and running. So here it is . . . enjoy!

!! BAND MEMBERS WANTED !! - 4th September 2009

The new sound and material is staggeringly refreshing and Katie can't wait to go live and start playing with a band. The only thing that's stopping her is, well, a band!!! The search is on for some great young and gifted musicians who love the music and are on a quest to perform at live shows and events and get a major recording deal. Janec Lillis-James is already on board as BASS PLAYER but Katie still needs a Lead Guitarist, a Rhythm Guitarist, a Keyboard player, a drummer and a female backing vocalist (with a some classical training). If interested in fulfilling your dreams to hit the road of Rock 'n' Roll and a bit of Opera! then Katie would love to hear from you to set up auditions. MORE IN THE CAN - 12th June 2009

Katie is still writing and recording so as the band is getting together they'll be more tracks to learn and soon an albums worth. The new track Katie is working is called "QUEER DEAR" - Google the phrase and find out for yourself...!
